Akon played a very special gig at The New Sound for special guests and competition winners from Capital Radio. Playing an intimate gig Akon busted out the hits and had an up close and personal chat with many members of the audience.

Rain dont stop the Partying at Sound

Looked like the torrential down pour this week was going to cut back the numbers? Think NOT!! Wednesday to Sunday we were kicking it like it was 1999.

Friday night saw a big turn out for the live bands Lux Nova, Jo Dixon and Rogue Royalty. The bar was 2 deep at around 9:30 pm. Lux Nova played a retro rock sounding set complimenting Black Sabbath - AC/DC tinged Rogue Royalty. The Jack & Cokes were flying.

Queue jump guest list was a must from about 10:30pm all the way till around 1:30am with an onslaught of clubbers cramming in to get down with Phyz Ed on the decks with his sexy RnB set.

Bank Holiday Weekend Extravaganza @ Sound

I thought people left London on these long weekends. Didnt seem so last week and weekend. We had a blinding Wednesday and Thursday night with Maxx Parties and Gimmy Promotions throwing a full swinging house.

Live bands VWF Vibrations White Finger on Thursday night and The Rum Circus played killer sets.VWF recently headlining KoKo did a top billing on Thursday and The Rum Circus got all the bodies down on Friday night.

The Rum Circus gave us their hits like "Gabrielle" to a sing along audience. That Sassy Sister duo Becca and Chesca only get better and brought the big arena stadium feel to SOUND in there set.

DJ Phyz Ed was up to his big club experience set with all the hits mixed in with some drum and bass mixes.
